AFTER THE STOP

The narration as spoken in the film, in order.

1. For more than seventeen years, I ran contracting and infrastructure work: tenders, crews, sign-offs, and getting paid.
2. The work itself was rarely the hardest part.
3. It failed between the tools: the enquiry, the estimate, the email, the commitment, the invoice.
4. What was promised to win the job was not what the crew was told.
5. What was signed off was not what got billed.
6. And when something went wrong, it became difficult to show who had decided what.
7. Software made all of that faster. It did not make it clearer.
8. Orchestrate keeps one business relationship, from the first opportunity to the work that follows.
9. It begins with your business: the name you commit under, and the address carried on every commercial message.
10. Until your business says what it sells, there is nothing to judge anyone against.
11. Then AI searches your market, shows its evidence, and says plainly when it has not seen enough.
12. You decide who is worth pursuing. Deciding sends nothing.
13. And when nothing needs your judgement, it says so.
14. AI prepares the outreach, in your business's name, with your signature.
15. Then everything stops.
16. Who has the authority to say this?
17. Authority is given person by person: to communicate, to agree, to invoice and take payment. Each is held separately.
18. A person requests only the authority they need. Whoever reviews it can reduce that authority, but cannot enlarge it.
19. Agreements and invoices stay unavailable until someone is named for them. Being signed in is not enough.
20. A person with that authority decides, and the work moves again.
21. AI creates the leverage. It does not acquire the authority.
22. What goes out is recorded honestly. Sent is not the same as delivered.
23. When replies come back, AI sorts them, and marks the ones a person needs to review.
24. A message that matches nothing Orchestrate sent is not guessed at. It waits for a person.
25. When your business takes something on, you say what it is, and what supports it.
26. Then the commercial record follows, in order: what was agreed, what you owe, what you are owed, what was invoiced and paid.
27. Work can stop too.
28. But silence never ends it. Stopping takes a reason, because a record with no reason looks the same as neglect.
29. If the work starts again, it is a new undertaking, not the old one quietly reopened.
30. Authority can be withdrawn. The record of what was decided while that authority was valid remains.
31. When a governed fact is replaced by a newer one, the earlier fact is retained instead of being silently erased.
32. Every relationship can show why it exists, and says so when its record may be incomplete.
33. Even when something fails, it tells you what did not change.
34. And when a piece of work ends, the relationship does not.
35. That is what my own business needed.
